This is my first attempt to cook Tokneneng, the bigger version of Kwek-kwek (quail egg) which is a popular street food.
It is coated with an orange batter. The batter is a mixture of flour, baking powder, food coloring (orange), and small amount of water. Mixed the batter well. Evenly coat each pre-boiled chicken egg before you deep fry.
This is best paired with chili vinegar sauce.
The spare batter can be used for veggie tempura.
We ate tokneneng for lunch. The kids are requesting for more. 🙂
This picture was taken at my kids’ school during their Recognition Day.
I’m supposed to start this 30-Day Blog Challenge yesterday (July 1), but I’m still not feeling well.
Yesterday, I did some house hold chores, tend to my kids’ needs as usual.
I had fun chatting with some of the Marces in the afternoon.
Three of my blogs (including this one) really need a makeover. But since money rarely hard to come by, new headers will do for now. I’m on the waiting list. And I’m excited.
I’ll catch some sleep after posting this. See you later.
I saw this from one of the blogs I’m following and I’m going to take the challenge any day soon.
