Online Distance Learning

My younger kid, who will be 21 in a few days, is embarking on a “new way” to earn his college degree. The community college which K is currently enrolled at is now promoting virtual learning method so that students can still pursue education amid the pandemic.

K is completing second year (third term) of the course, Bachelor of Multimedia Arts (BAMMA) through virtual classes. (Visit the school site to know more about the school offering.)

Since June 15, K is taking virtual classes aptly named Online Distance Learning Term, from the comfort of our home. He has his own room with basic things he needs to keep up with the lessons. Unlike the subjects that are taken in a normal school setting, subjects are fewer and discussions per hour are much shorter to meet the demand of online classes, and for students to have more time with their families during the quarantine period.

Hopefully, K is taking this new normal setup well. I think he is slowly adjusting. On our part, hubby and I hope that we can continue to support his education despite the minimal fund coming in. But we are positive that we can all go through with this situation unscathed. We pray the same for everyone out there.
